Rubén Villahermosa presents an updated version of the Wyckoff method integrated with Volume Profile analysis and Order Flow concepts. The classic Wyckoff method identifies accumulation, distribution, and trend phases through price and volume analysis — here modernized for electronic markets including futures, stocks, and cryptocurrencies.
Rubén Villahermosa is one of the most systematic communicators of the Wyckoff method in the Spanish-speaking world, and this 2021 book represents his most complete synthesis. Richard Wyckoff's original method (1873-1934) proposes that markets move through the action of institutional "strong hands" whose intentions can be read in volume and price structure. Villahermosa updates that framework by integrating two modern tools: Volume Profile (statistical distribution of volume by price) and Order Flow (real-time order book analysis), giving the method a layer of precision the original analysis lacked. The result is a coherent, well-documented system with applications across multiple timeframes. The most relevant limitation is that the Wyckoff method has a high interpretive component: two analysts can read the same structure differently, and the system's objectivity depends heavily on the operator's judgment. For those who already know classic Wyckoff, the integration with Volume Profile is the book's most valuable contribution.
For intermediate or advanced traders who already know basic technical analysis and want to go deeper into price and volume reading with a structured framework.
FactPublished in 2021, the book is one of the few works in Spanish that updates the original Wyckoff method (developed between 1910 and 1930) with twenty-first-century analysis tools.
